Probably for the best, as I pulled something in my lower back. Not a tennis related injury, I'm sorry to say. I got it bending over a lap top to check on a rear end connection.  :dunno:

Had a good hit with the instructor last Wednesday. We are working on the drop shot.  :)

That sounds X-Rated......

 :shocking:

It does rather but that is what I did.  :zipped:

I can already feel the wrath of the Forum censors  heading in my direction.  :scared:

I hope your back heals quickly and the weather turns for the better so you can return to the court ASAP.

What was the best advice you took away from your drop shot lesson?

euroka1:
Holding the racquet a little bit loose.

The aim (not often achieved yet) is to get three bounces of the ball inside the service box.

I decided to work on the drop shot to counter those mean spirited souls  :mad1: who stand way back when I try my top spin lob.  ..-)

Well, it hasn't but I've been playing through it the last couple of weeks until yesterday when it surged back again during a warmup and I found it hard to move much for the rest of the game.  :(

So, I agreed to take a week off with NO TENNIS.   :doctor: :mad1:

Rather than hitting my head against the wall today  :bang-head: in the frustration of inactivity, I just watched on TV the Federer - Sospisil match in Basel which was really something. Fed came through in the end but Sospisil played a spectacular match too and persisted to the last. That guy has a great future.  :)

euroka1:
Played for the first time in a month (see above) without any pain today and it felt good  :)) .

One of the many irritations about getting older is that it takes longer and longer for things to mend. The upside is that at least they do.  :PHEW:)
