I get the feeling that Juan is just about to bust loose big time again. He's the X-factor.
The way Del Potro, he either start winning tourneys before he busts his wrist again.. He has one of the flattest forehands in the game and he plays from way back in the court - I wonder if JMDP can do anything to lessen the stress on his wrist or will he carry on in the same vein and hope for good fortune and good health!! :(

I think he'll continue the way he always had, he doesn't have too many other options.
He must consider adapting his game to enjoy a few more years on the tour.. The way he has been on the sidelines, injured, it seems like a premature end to his career..

Just 2 years ago, Juan was being ripped apart by Roger in Melbourne, with Ms. Navratilova commenting that his FH needed to be flatter.. What a monster that stroke has become!! Vamos, Del Potro! I'm sure it gives opponents nightmares :)) :))

Actually 3 years ago. 2 years ago Del Potro suffered a wrist injury that forced surgery.
Then we will fight in the shade.

shank, you shouldn't be so disrespectful to the guy who has been having serious problems with injuries throughout the career.
Ofc you wouldn't know about it since Nadal didn't take any major break during seasons.

There is nothing more painful than watching your favorite player suffer injury one after another, and as Tommy Haas being my favorite player, I can confirm that.

Del Potro will never 'learn' to stay fit - he knows only 1 way of playing and that style is killing him. He is not built to rally with today's freakishly fit players from behind the baseline. I wish him a speedy recovery..

Looked like he had a little fire in his belly at the close of this match.
Very nice to see after watching Blake and Fish implode with piss poor competitive spirits.

Del Potro is very gracious towards his opponents, as he obviously demonstrated yesterday.. He understands the support for the retiring American hero, Roddick.. I would be glad if he can make it to the final..

Del Potro Joins UNICEF On Visit To Children's Home

Juan Martin del Potro joined UNICEF Argentina on a visit to the children’s home, Hogar Marquez de La Plata, where he spent time getting to know the youths.

In between games of table tennis, the 2009 US Open champion answered their tennis-related questions and listened to their personal stories, goals and dreams. He also recorded a video for “A Sun for the Children” campaign, a TV show that helps raise funds for UNICEF.

“They do a great job here. I really want to thank the whole team and the kids for the time we spent today,” said del Potro.

Hogar Márquez assists children and teenagers without parental care, employing a comprehensive method that helps each cope with the autonomy of adulthood.
