just watched the FO 08 highlights on youtube and here's my analysis.

Nadal was an absolute beast that day!! His performance can only be compared to his 2005 French open run. Granted he was aided greatly by Federer making some downright dreadful trips to net. Still, he hit some amazing passing shots and to give Federer credit, he played some sick angles and was solid off the baseline (minus the mis**ts that were not featured on the highlight!)

So I'll probably do highlights, and maybe use most the same points from that highlight. Although, it's pretty ironic I'll be doing my first HD source highlight from Federer's worst Grandslam final.

to me, pre-"Prime" Federer was more entertaining to watch. Although he wasn't as dominate and didn't have that aura of invincibility, his strokes were very natural, didn't have any superfluous wrist movements and he improvised even more.

So even a loss he suffered in his early years to me is more interesting than a bagel match he wins in 2008.
