Yeah, it was a great day to be a Francesca fan. She really dominated that match like no other match I've seen her play. Very proud of my girl

Ayuh, she was solid today.  Would love to see her tune up her serve a wee bit for the next match though.

Yeah, definitely not a strength... go figure. 

But I did love the way she controlled her service games late in each set. She gave nothing away and finished strong. In the end, serving out for your first ever SF--and doing it in impressive fashion--was HUGE for a WTAer in general, and Francesca personally.

Agreed.  Serving doesn't seem to be a priority for many on the WTA lest their name end with W***iams.
She did a nice job maintaining her nerve.

Another really good thing for Schiavone and you Babble is despite what happens from here on in, Schiavone will just about reach the top 10 or be on the verge of it after this week. As the 900 points she's got right now(defending just round 1 last year) will just put her in the top 10, may be a couple of players ahead of her now who move up with nore points gained here but at the same time we've got Victoria, Kuznetsova and Safina all dropping huge points and falling right out of the top 10. So it seems almost certain Schiavone will go into the top 10 and if she wins tomorrow then that's a guarantee then. If she reaches the Final she'll be around number 7!

She just set out today that she just wouldn't be beaten and fully deserves this Final.    From #17 to #6 would be stoopid insane, indeed. In any event, it's been an incredible run, beating three seeds, including #3 Wozniacki and #5 Dementieva, along the way.

serve extremely well, impressive
great victory speech
nice to see the drama queen Mary Pierce, 10 years after her title.
backhand crosscourt was the key
stosur nervous in the big points, missed a lot, too many ue, she was not moving well.
Schiavone was dancing and a master of how to come to the net.
and the bachand is so beautiful.
