Now that you said something about gaudio I update the thread. First, gaudio changed the sponsor, he´s using lacoste right now, then he lost at the 250 of santiago de chile against aranguren in three sets and he will be trying to enter to the main draw in all the southamerican clay tournaments, the next one is Costa du sauipe (08/02 - 15/02) but he´s not confirmed, after that one is buenos aires (15/02 - 22/02) where he is confirmed cause the tournament gave him a WC, after buenos aires its acapulco (22/02 - 29/02) and sadly he´s not confirmed either.
Some pics of santiago:

Thanks ton

I was wondering how long sponsors would keep him, so it's great to here Lacoste picked him up. I think that means another WC for Paris  :)

Ugh, I've never heard of this Aranguren. Anyway, it looks like he's going to have a very busy February, so his results should improve. I'll start following him closely. Do you still plan on going to BA? Is that where you live?

Yeah, I live in the outsides of BA city, but Im studying there so I go constantly and Im like 1 hour ago of the BA Lawn tennis club, so Im planning to go almoust every day, cause I want to see at least gaudio and gasquet (if he´s still comin´). By the way, I just heard that he will have to play the qualy at costa du sauipe (Brazil) so I hope the WC here will cheer him up

Great! :fingers crossed:

ton, how do you like psychology so far? I hope you aren't cursed like me, because I find pathology fascinating  :)   Perhaps you can do something more "positive," like become a sports psychologist... and work with Gaston!  :lmao!:

Thats exactly what Im thinking of! I actually thought of studying psychology, then continue with something like psychology in the sport (dont know the real name in english) and maybe becoming tennis professor...its really funny cause when I tell to people that Im going with psychology they always say: "you should treat coria or gaudio.."  :rofl_2:
Now Im in the entry, I have to do a course (which is a piece of cake) and then I start the career on march, looks really interesting, what do you do btw bab?

in the meantime, pics of gaudio training in santiago, by santiago :)~

by the way, gaudio could get a WC for Costa du Sauipe if a brazilian beats alberto martin in santiago to reach the SF´s, so maybe he can enter to the main draw directly...

They still come to watch the legend play  (hee hee)  Let's hope he gets some main draws!

We call it "sports psychologist." I have a 4 year degree in economics (few people realize it's a social science) but worked in finance for 15 years until the world economy melted down. I have a two year degree in mental health, and worked as a case worker (that's what you call therapists with 2 year degrees) in the late 1990s for a couple of years. Currently, I'm a student learning a trade. I don't enjoy sitting around and watching someone else's money anymore. I'm hoping to get what we call a "green job" in which we go into old buildings and make them more energy efficient.

That's a great list. I also like Almagro very much. He's got a great personality--usually fights with the chair :ranting:  If you haven't already, wait until you see his serve and groundies. He can serve over 220 kpm and no one hits from both sides harder than Nico.

I also like Monaco, though I've never seen him play. I like Andreev, too. He hits a very heavy ball. Starace is a tough out, and Kollerer is a showman. Wish I were there  ://

Sigh...

Nice victory! Straight sets against stepanek, should have been a great run! Did you see it?

Yeah, that one is hardcourt, but then you have costa du sauipe that is clay and the biggest tournament of brazil. Gaudio I read that he started practising here in BA and nalby and richard did too.

That first one was vintage Gaudio until he shanked his last shot. The three previous shots landed at the baseline. :thumbs-up:
