How to HD highlight

Hey guys I am wanting to make my own HD highlights to contribute but I'm unsure how to do it. Would someone give me some tips? I know Aces used Sony Vegas Pro for his highlights and wondering whats the best program to make HD highlights for the best possible quality?

I've got some 2010,2011 matches I wanna make highlights of

avs video editor 5.2 is the best... supports any format
