(1/7) > >>

britbox:
A thread in appreciation of the great Stefan Edberg.
I'll try and keep this up to date with news for fellow Edheads and hopefully there is a few other Edberg fans knocking about.

QUick Factfile:

Born: 19 January 1966 in Västervik, Sweden
Turned Pro: 1983
Retired: 1996

6 Singles GS Titles:

'85, '87 Australian Open
'88, '90 Wimbledon
'91, '92 US Open

Also lost in 5 other GS finals.

Edberg was also an outstanding doubles player, winning 3 grand slam titles.  Also, the last man to be ranked #1 in singles and #1 in doubles at the same time.

One of the best volleyers in tennis history.
