though fish and stepanek are no where talented to beat fed, their victories over fed don't surprise me one bit...........i have always been saying that i doubt if fed can handle serious all out attacking game play like going for lines (i.e being semi-offensive) or SNV on a constant basis..........those matches have just proved that........fish and stepanek got their game together(which rarely happens) and beat him..........
fed might have won an odd match here and there in his early part of the career facing some serious SNV, but couldn't win big tournaments...........he started winning big things when SNVers started disappearing...........a fact..........
unlike say sampras or agassi who just impose themselves on others, the problem with fed is he allows you to play your game...........these new big guns (djokovic, murray) have been exploiting just that, lately..........and other have started following the suit..........
none of fed's defeats this year surprised me really...........same is the case with simon's victory...........he let simon rally in fantasy and eventually he ran away with the show...........
