Blake beating him after going 0-for, and eating all those bagels was a surprise. But the big one was Fish. That was a jaw dropper.

If you don't like Federer that's fine. But why do you have to be an "anti-Federer fan"? Why do people have to anti-somebody?

That's my question too.  I mean, everyone won't like all the players, but why do you dis-like Roger so much?  Maybe you can concentrate on Blake and if you don't' like roger - just don't write about him? :confused1:  I don't like some players but I don't spend all my time writing about them either.  I just kind of ignore them and concentrate on the player I like.

But it's ok for you to not like someone or pull for another player.  We all have our favorites.  You're fine. :))

I'm an "anti-Federerfan" in the sense that I'd like to see Pete keep the record, not even share it with Roger. Other than that, I have mad respect for Roger as a person and his game. But I want to see him lose.

Fish at Indian Wells, perhaps the most significant because then all the rest of defeats followed.
Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble.

Fish: the match-up should've suited him perfectly and the manner of defeat was the biggest part of it.

Fish....Fish has always been on the fringes and I never thought he could take out a #1 player.

It was the loss to simon....i did not think simon would prove much of a problem to fed...and Fed being fresh from his victory in the USO...it was a major surprise.

I would rather say "fresh from his defeat in Wimbledon" but that's just me....

though fish and stepanek are no where talented to beat fed, their victories over fed don't surprise me one bit...........i have always been saying that i doubt if fed can handle serious all out attacking game play like going for lines (i.e being semi-offensive) or SNV on a constant basis..........those matches have just proved that........fish and stepanek got their game together(which rarely happens) and beat him..........

fed might have won an odd match here and there in his early part of the career facing some serious SNV, but couldn't win big tournaments...........he started winning big things when SNVers started disappearing...........a fact..........

unlike say sampras or agassi who just impose themselves on others, the problem with fed is he allows you to play your game...........these new big guns (djokovic, murray) have been exploiting just that, lately..........and other have started following the suit..........

none of fed's defeats this year surprised me really...........same is the case with simon's victory...........he let simon rally in fantasy and eventually he ran away with the show...........
Marian Vajda to Novak Djokovic, "I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man KEPT COMING AFTER YOU! Now we don't need no man like that in our lives."
