Well....stop the presses! Take a snapshot! My Texas Rangers are 3-0 and in first place (probably the only time in the entire year that they will be in first place)

But in other news...sad news:
Adenhart mourned; game postponed
04/09/09 2:56 PM ET
The Angels game against the A's on Thursday night at Angel Stadium has been postponed, Major League Baseball announced as Commissioner Bud Selig reacted to the death of rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart.
"Major League Baseball is in mourning today upon the news of this tragedy that has taken Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others. Nick was just 22 years of age, with a wonderful life and career ahead of him," Selig said in a statement.
"On behalf of Major League Baseball, I extend my sincere sympathy to the families and friends of all three victims and to the entire Angels' organization. I send my deepest condolences to Nick's parents, Jim and Janet. The hearts of everyone in baseball are with them at this most difficult time."
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said the team will gather together tonight.
MLB postponments this decade in the wake of tragedies
Adenhart was a passenger in a car that police say was struck by a motorist who ran a red light early on Thursday morning. Two other people in the car also died and another was injured. Adenhart had started for Los Angeles just a few hours earlier, pitching six shutout innings in a game the A's won, coming back from a 4-0 deficit to win, 6-4.
The A's, who open their home schedule at the Coliseum in Oakland on Friday night against the Mariners, also released this statement:
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Nick Adenhart and others involved in this morning's accident. Our hearts and prayers go out to their families, as well as the entire Los Angeles Angels organization. As he demonstrated only last night, Nick was a very gifted pitcher with a promising future. For that future to be cut short is not only a loss for the Angels but for all of Major League Baseball
