They are anticipating heavy Murray betting for two reason: sentimental (irrational) betting and the cloud of uncertainty that hangs over Nadal's head
today. Similarly, they've set the odds on Nadal accordingly--too much uncertainty today. If they start Murray at 8:1, where Djokovic is, they'll lose a lot of action because they'll have to move the odds to, say, 5:2 in an attempt to deter more action on Murray.
Do you think Djokovic will be 8:1 on the eve of the draw? I don't. Why? Because people find him attractive at 8:1. I suspect he'll be bet down to 4:1. But what does that mean to you and me. Nothing.
That's why I say place a bet on Roddick at 26:1. If he wins, he pays handsomely.
