i'm glad to help, i'm assuming that you are using WinRAR ?
* How to add recovery data to all archives by default :
open WinRar
Options > Settings > Compression > Create Default
Archive format : RAR
Compression method : Best
Split to volumes, bytes : 275000 or 375000 or 450000 kb (the highest file size your ADSL connection can handle without time out)
Note : you can also add "new size label" in Options > Settings > Compression > "Define Volume Size"
tick checkbox "Put recovery record"
Options > Settings > Compression > Advanced
Modify "Recovery record" to "5" percent (it's enough in most case)
Options > Settings > Integration : Shell Integration
tick checkbox "Integrate WinRAR into shell
Options > Settings > OK
* How to add recovery data to already made archives :
select the archive
Commands > Protect Archive from dammage
> Set the recovery record size to "5" % of the archive size
