Topic: On a scale from "Bad" to "God Awful" how god awful will the women's final be?

This RG final has all the hallmarks of a big stinker: 2 players that have come up reeeally small on the big stage.

Good news is, one of them has to win!!!!

Bad news is, they have to play the match.   

With the exception of 1 hicup in her QF against Azarenka, Safina has steamrolled into the final. But there is a question about her health, as she sounded sick as a dog today.

Kuznetsova, who logged 2:45 in her QF win over Serena and 2:25 in her SF win over Stosur, looks as if she has hit the wall. Running on empty and having all kinds of trouble holding serve.

This has 45 minutes written all over it. That is bad enough to rank it as "Really Awful". IMO, the only thing that could move it all the way down the scale to "God Awful" is if they both revert to their most recent slam finals shenanigans. 

I've got "Really Awful." Safina in under an hour.

Match lived down to expectations. For me, borderline Really Awful to God Awful.

she is not really an expert closing sets, that was expected by Arantxa doing the commentary of the final, saying she struggles the most closing sets.

Well atleast Kuznetsova played fairly well.   Not even her most amazing stuff, but fairly well I guess, handled her nerves atleast.    Safina was crap.   So probably a 3.5 out of 10 overall.   Certainly not great.

she had the same feeling before this match that she had when she won the us open, so she knew it was going to be a win for her

Maybe Safina is more like her brother than she wants to admit? (more like him 'mentally). She just totally self destructed, calling herself names, saying she's a coward, etc.

Personally I was pulling for Kuzzy, but the WTA needs  their #1 player to win a major more sooner than later.
