Looking for Hitting Partners
« on: March 02, 2010, 08:02:33 PM »
I'm starting a website in my home town to connect players and I'd like to know if age is a factor in choosing a partner...and why?  Should it even be in the search criteria?

To me it does not matter.  A 4.5 hitting partner is a 4.5 hitting partner.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Have your scoured the web to find out if there are sites that offer to put people together in your area?  Unless there are none, or you have something unique to offer, you may be reinventing the wheel.  Another thought:  do you live in a sufficiently populous area to justify what you're considering?

I agree that age should not be a factor, however, you may find others who would like to find someone of a similar level AND a similar age.  That could be especially true for the person looking for social tennis as opposed to competitive tennis.  So, including age as an optional search parameter might suit a broader audience and make your site more appealing and more useful.

Just my humble opinion.  :)
