Got a call to sub tonight, which was good, even though I told hubby and myself that I was going to not play until Tuesday lessons due to my shins. The new shoes feel great! Very cushy, less binding today and my right shin is still sore to touch but not aching like before.
I played like poo tonight.

Lots of net errors, several double faults and just general yucky mistakes. On the flip side, I had some REALLY sweet a$$ shots too that made everyone cheer, so I'm not completely down on myself.
Seriously though, these ladies and their chasing that third ball and taking toooooo much time figuring who gets what color score card. OMG - "well, you can have red bc your socks are Salmon colored and well, isn't that a red color anyway, so you be red!"

Really! Please, someone tell me what the rule is about who gets what color? The first to serve gets which color score card/background color???

I really appreciate these ladies I play with regularly, well, most of them, but honestly some of them are REAL characters. So funny to see. They are all as different as their serving pose/style. The Sociology minor in me just LOVES to watch people and study how they behave and what makes them who they are...even when they make me nuts with their behavior and comments.
