Problem Video Editing
« on: October 02, 2011, 02:29:38 PM »
Hello guys, I downloaded a few tennis matches from this site and when I try to open them in a video-editing program (Sony vegas, Cyberlink powerdirector) , it always say it can't open this file..

Do you guys know how I CAN open these files in Sony vegas or Cyberlink?

Thanks in advance,

sparklys

I'd guess the video editing program you're using doesn't support mkv's which I assume your file is.

As for Sony Vegas, it's because of a file type, I guess? You can't open a MKV/FLV file with Sony Vegas and most of match videos are in MKV these days. To open mp4, you may need to install a plug-in(?). I often meet those messages even with an AVI file for some reasons. I assume it's some sort of codec problem. :mad1: In other words, SV is getting kinda useless for tennis video editing.  :\

You beat me to it, Afro.  :)~
