Yeah when the goalkeeper is in front of the play then there needs to be 2 players beyond that goalkeeper for it not to be offside and they both need to be in the field of play.

BGT leaves 23 pts on the table as France was her Runner-up pick.
Luggy leaves 8 pts on the table as France was his SF pick--not a big deal points wise, but a big deal because he roots against them

I don't think you read the instructions. I conceded that we'd have these impossible matchups because things like #1 Brazil may face #2 Spain in 2R, so all I asked everyone to do was select any 8, then any 4, then Champion/Rup and 3P/SF.

I think everyone else read that and understood how to play.


I don't think your conflict of interest will sabotage your score. If Germany does well, you're happy and falcon and I are the only two who picked Germany to 3P. But for the final, I have Italy def. Spain and falcon has Argentina def. Brazil. You have ENG def. Brazil, so regardless of Germany's performance, your picks look pretty good.

You are right, I didn't read the instructions. But I thought it would be obvious to pick as it can happen. The question is ,why would you all pick those impossible picks because that clearly will not happen( taken from my case England can't have BRA in the final!)
To me it's completely ridiculous to pick ITA def SPA in the final, while they probably would meet each other in the QF

Dear Babble, let me get this right. 

I'm not looking for the reasons to change my picks. Simple proof would be that if England can't have Brazil in the final, I don't want to win this game simply because I had Brazil in the final. No sir, I don't wanna see Brazil in the final while England can take them out before the final.
My reasons are quite opposite, I simply didn't know about those fictional picks, so that is now the cost I'm paying!

To me winning this challenge is to see my favorites winning. Having said that, because I made a mistake now I left my 2nd fave -Germany WELL BEHIND!

If ENG def. GER and NED is 3P, you win. In other words, root for Germany because based on everyone else's picks, if your dream final should take place and you nailed NED, then you win. Forgettabout what you submitted by mistake, you actually got exactly what you want.
