Robson apologizes for calling players ‘s1uts’

LONDON (AP)—Former Wimbledon junior champion Laura Robson has apologized to her fellow players for saying some of them are “s1uts” who make a bad name for themselves by going out with different guys.

The 16-year-old British player, who is considered her country’s most promising in women’s tennis, told Vogue magazine they needed to be “more discreet.”

Robson conceded Thursday she had made a “totally inappropriate, throwaway comment without considering the consequences.”

The WTA says Robson did the right thing by apologizing and adds it was glad she showed “the maturity and good judgment to do so.”

it would have been kind of funnier if she had said exactly who, and who with.

obviously she would have gotten into more trouble for it, but it would make the wta more interesting.  :rofl_2:

What an idiotic thing to come out and say initially  :\ At such a young age sure to turn the Tour against you and make some players want to beat you even more badly when you play.

Conchita's right on this account, in my opinion.

first rule is : do not tell what happens in the changing rooms during the tourneys.

for example Rafa was pretty upset with one stupid comment made by the Bryans.
