I really do think the Lakers will be stronger still this year Dani with the signings that have been made in the summer. The backcourt looks really strong now doesn't it and there's real depth there. Blake really is clutch isn't he, brilliant 3 pointers there, the final 1 was just a thing of beauty under the pressure of the game on the line. Completed a pretty brilliant comeback as was looking a bit grim at 1 point. I must admit Dani that's not 1 I see that I look like Blake  he hardly has any hair

first game of the season and first game at new home, the Rock in Newark! a miracle, first win!
I am so happy finally the Nets are no longer playing in the cavern close to the turnpike. In the new arena fans will be able to make some noise! the attendance was great, 15178 fans!

2nd game tonight for the Lakers and its a road trip to Pheonix against the Suns

Wow, are they playing basketball already?   Our Mavs are getting NO coverage down here with the Rangers in the World series.  Heck, even the Cowboys are on the back pages (of course they need to be)   But the Mavs won their opening game the other night and I mean NO ONE is talking about them.  Go Mavs!!!!! Since the Rangers are off tonight, I'll be watching the mavs in about 10 minutes.

does the regular season end on Sunday? hope so!
the attendance for a friday game was not great, 13482 fans!
maybe we are in the top 20 in the power rankings!
it was yesterday when we won the Eastern Conference in Boston with Kidd, Kittles, Von Erich, Martin, Jefferson, MacCulloch, Harris, Collins, Scott and the Slam Magazine cover about best team in the world.

2 out of 2 for the Lakers then a 114-106 win in the always difficult to play Pheonix. Runners up of the Western Conference last year so that's an excellent instant road win for the Lakers. Kobe and Pau combining as always with devastating effect and then good numbers from everybody else

Yeah a really good looking start this for your Nets Conchita especially after last season. Going to be interesting to see if they can maintain this first couple of games and make a real push for the playoffs as the year goes on.

Tough loss for the Mavs hey Dallas, by 1 point at home to Memphis! Started very well in their first game but last night was a bit of a setback I didn't expect. Must be mad to be in Dallas at the start of the NBA season and have nobody talking about the Mavs!

Lakers at home to Memphis later tonight looking to keep the unbeaten start going and move to 4-0

My brand new/latest Lakers/Kobe jersey came through today so I'm already for the 3:30am start here later tonight

Lakers stay undefeated then after rounding off a very comprehensive 124-105 win over the Memphis Grizzlies Although as expected Kobe and Pau are the stars right now the whole team is working fantastically together, including the bench and everybody is really playing their part. On the road tonight vs the Kings

The Lakers fantastic start to the season just continues as they cruise to a road win 112-100 win over the Sacramento Kings to stay undefeated and move to 5-0 Kobe was just brilliant as always as he came up with a TRIPLE DOUBLE with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists Pau got 22 points and 11 rebounds, while fellow starters Artest, Odom and Fisher all scored double figure scores.

Next up back to LA for a home game vs Toronto
