Derek Fisher came up with the absolute latest of buzzer beaters as literally the ball had just left his fingers when time expired and thankfully it was off the backboard and in

Lakers beat their city rivals the Clippers on the Clippers 'Court' 87-86 But again just way too close for comfort that was! Low scoring game, that would you would associate with the Lakers and really only Kobe with 24 points and another excellent off the bench performance from Shannon Brown with 16 made any great impact on the scorers. Start of the East trip now- 6 games over there and the first 1 of them on Friday is definitely the toughest away in Chicago, where the Lakers are definitely going to have to take their games up a couple of levels

Ugh @ Celtics. Where was this in game 7 vs the Lakers?

Not a good start at all to the Lakers 6 game East Coast trip with an 88-84 defeat in Chicago Lakers started so quick and right out of the blocks as is often the case in the 1st quarter but the the 2nd quarter can only be described as a disaster!! 10 points all quarter for the Lakers. Game was pretty even for much of 3rd and some of 4th but then Lakers went down by 13 with a bad 3 minutes in the 4th and had to come back from that big deficit with just 3 minutes left! Made it very nervy for Chicago but was just too much with too little timeleft!

1 positive of the night is Kobee moved to all time 11th on the highest scorers list

Yep! I saw the Warriors got off to a 4-1 start, that only loss being to the Lakers. Golden State must be awesome this year.

Funny story. I was wearing a Golden State Warriors hat once when I was about 23is and some girl around college age asked me, "Oh, you went to Golden State?" as if Golden State was a state university, like Michigan State University or Florida State University.

Yep! I saw the Warriors got off to a 4-1 start, that only loss being to the Lakers. Golden State must be awesome this year.

Yeah Golden State started off very well but have slipped right back recently to 8-15! They have a pretty young team and are right in the middle of a brutal 12 or so game streak.

That's too funny that you had a hat of their's on once and for a girl to ask you if you went to that as a State University clearly she's not too hot on her Universities or her NBA.

First Lakers game of the season that I'm not having to get up for in the middle of the night today as it'll be a 6pm start over here(1pm ET) in New Jersey vs the Nets and the Lakers really need this win to get this Eastern road trip going I get to watch the Lakers on my laptop and NFL and on the TV- perfect

Just been watching the Mavs vs Utah game from last night too and what a great game that was! Utah are unbelievable at giving up huge leads but then coming back time and time again, 25 points down at 1 stage last night! only to level it up with 5 minutes to go and it could have gone either way from then, you'd have though Utah's with their momentum. But great job by Dallas to hit back and stay strong and make some big shots when they really needed them. That's 12 straight wins just a game behind the Spurs in the Western Conference and getting close to their franchise record 17 wins!!

Couldn't agree anymore on both accounts Swish. We know how good the Mavs can be during the regular season but its the playoffs they have so much to prove still.
Lakers know how to play when it really matters so can never be a worry despite some very sticky form of late. Also I'm really looking forward to seeing Bynum back, that'll give us so much more.
