That was much more like it, Lakers take the win in New Orleans 103-88 and snap a 3 game losing streak. Lamar started from the bench this time was was fantastic top scoring with 24 points. Needed that win after the carnage last 3 games.

My Mavs have to play San Antonio with/our Dirk tonight.

Close loss that for the Mavs wasn't it Dallas. With Dirk they would have beat those damn Spurs I have no doubt

Dirk also said he may not be back until early next week. So he may not play against those darned Bucks New Year's Day.

That's not good to hear Dirk is likely to miss more games especially to those Bucks! I hope the Mavs can still beat that team with Dirk!

The Spurs are dangerous.
They'll be coasting along then score a bunch of points. It's happened many times this year.


I know there are some Mavericks fans out there but I don't have much hope for them.

That is exactly it with the Spurs Swish, they are doing a great job o playing pretty conservative and coasting and then really take it up a few gears all of a sudden. Mavs are looking really good too now but who knows how they'll play April and May we will have to wait and see with that as the playoffs haven't been where we've seen the Mavs at their best. Definitely looks like it'll be Lakers, Spurs and Mavs there or there about's in the playoffs as well as I would say Oklahoma and Utah.

Boston lost again today. They're short a few people, after awhile it wears a team down.
It's going to be good when everybodies back playing.

As you know Rondo is out with a sprained ankle, he's the one Chris wanted to slap during the last finals.

What a huge miss he is to them though and with Garnett out too at the moment that's tough for them to have them both missing. I watched the last quarter of that and thought the Celtics were going to pull through but Hornets just got the win.

Lakers ended the year with a win but a very close win 102-98 over Philadelphia in LA, Kobe hitting 33 points.

Good win for LA. It looks like the teams are just kind of coasting, trying to do well but also not running themselves down.

Dallas is playing Milwaukee today, they should get a win and get back to winning.

The Bucks beat the Mavs then and add the Spurs and Heat winning too who were 20 points down at 1 point and it makes for a  night.

This time by 19 points at home to Memphis Something is seriously not right at the Lakers right now and if things carry on like this Lakers will be looking at the 6th-7th seed for the playoffs I would say!

Better from the Lakers last night as they beat the Detroit Pistons 108-83 numbers were much more spread out last night and that's when we know the Lakers play their best basketball, so hopefully they can go down this route much more going forward.

Caron Butler is out for the remainder of the season. He was Dallas' #3 scorer. Well, even without him and Dirk, the Mavs still wont last night. Dirk should be back tomorrow night against OKC!

That picture makes the whole Rondo situation all the worse Swish That was an excellent win over the Spurs, Spurs lost 2 straight now in NY and Boston.

Lakers won their 2nd straight away in Pheonix this time 99-95

Another close one but a 3rd straight win for the Lakers this time over the Hornets at Staples Center 101-97 Next up is a home game on Sunday night against the high scoring New York Knicks

Excellent win from the Lakers over the New York Knicks 109- 87 at Staples Center The Knicks have been passing and going beyond 100 for fun this season so to limit them to 87 and see 3 double doubles from Kobe, Pau and Lamar and good contributions across the board is a very good sign Next up is Tuesday when Cleveland come to LA

The Celtics lost to undermanned Houston tonight, Doc Rivers was upset that they don't bring the best out on the floor every game. Garnett is still out but Doc said that's no excuse and the competition is much stiffer this year. Home court advantage come playoff time is more critical with the tougher competition.
Boston also lost the top spot to Miami who is on a 9 game winning streak.

Yeah I saw that Boston lost again Swish, seems these last couple of weeks they've dropped off a level or so and seems they have the same problem as the Lakers in not bringing their best to court all the time. Miami won in OT the night before so yeah top spot in the East now goes to those guys and if things carry on its going to be them with homecourt advantage right through the playoffs, they're looking very strong now.
