The quest for another Treble continues big time today as we have our FA Cup Semi Final and it comes against our hated rivals with the rich owners Manchester City  :)>>>> :)>>>> If we can make the Final here, we're top of the Premier League and into the Semi Finals of the Champions League then we're set up absolutely perfect. Also we got to stop City having a chance to win a trophy for another year as they are currently at 34 long years :)) Just 1 problem for us today is that Rooney is suspended but we got what we need to take these out anyway!

Very poor performance today and a 0-1 defeat in the FA Cup Semi Finals to City :( :( :( Gave them the goal as well as Carrick gave it to Toure and he put it away. Disappointing way to lose theSemi Final especially to that lot! but the main priorities of Champions League and Premier League are still very much on!Crucial game on Tuesday now away at Newcastle :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Holy crap! Just when you think you've seen it all, they outdo themselves. What a completely retarded team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't know how to win to the extent that it makes me feel like they don't want to win. I've never seen an entire team with this mentality. This is something you see only in individual sports, namely tennis. They are like Russian women in May and June.

:rofl_2: Nice rant Bab, but hey 'certain Russian women' is better please :)~ :rofl_2:

That was an unbelievable end to the game, just when you thought Arsenal had snatched the win with the penalty in the 97th minute, Liverpool get one in the 101st minute, score and instantly the ref blows for full time.

So 6 points in it and 6 games to go :shakey: And Tuesday and Wednesday are huge as United go to Newcastle Tuesday :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: then on Wednesday Arsenal go away to their North London rivals Tottenham!

HUGE absolutely HUGE win today as United beat Everton 1-0 at Old Trafford :yahoo: :grind dance: :applause: A goal from that man Hernandez again, who in his first season over here now has 19 goals :applause: That win now moves us 9 points clear of Chelsea and Arsenal who both have 5 games left now, so both MUST win this weekend to stay in the title hunt who'd say. We could win the title in 2 weeks time if everything went well if we beat Arsenal away next week, and then the following weekend beat Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Next for us now is the 1st leg of the Champions League Final vs Schalke in Germany on Tuesday :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Quote
Arsène Wenger admitted his Arsenal side lacked a championship mentality and were finishing the season looking "frail" after the last-minute 2-1 defeat by Bolton Wanderers that has effectively ended any hope of catching Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal are now nine points behind the leaders with only four games to go and Wenger is staring at the possibility of a sixth consecutive season without a trophy. The Frenchman said he would not change his philosophy but he also admitted Arsenal had shortcomings that he should have addressed before now.

"I feel the players had an outstanding attitude all season and are not to blame," Wenger said. "If someone is to blame, it is me. I pick the team, I choose the players.

"It's very unsatisfactory because we have had one of our easiest run-ins for a long, long time and we didn't take our chances. That is frustrating because I feel the potential is there but we still lack something – maturity and experience and calm in important situations.

Yep and Yep. I don't know how you keep this guy as good a coach as he is. If Wenger is there next season, the players will approach the season with the same mentality. A fast start will only be a nice perfume over another stinky ending that's sure to come.

Football the most laughable and biggest joke of a sport in the world of sports!!!! Its way past the joking stage now, we're simply game after game seeing decisions from officials decide the outcome of games. Why we have no technology and are sooooo behind most of the other sports in that respect I'll never know!!! We had the disgrace of Wednesday with Barcelona and Real Madrid and now we've had this today where Tottenham were 1-0 up away at Chelsea and then Chelsea get a gola given to them that wasn't over the line and then they get a goal given to them that was offside. This is EXACTLY like last season where Chelsea won the league and even their biggest fans would admit that was thanks to decisions given to them.

Chelsea won 2-1, so its 3 points at the top.

Football is 1 of 5 sports I follow hugely but is the only 1 time and time again that I keep coming away thinking I've wasted 2 hours of my life and that we have not seen the right winner. I NEVER have those feelings after watching real sports of Tennis, NBA, NFL and Cricket, this clown ass of a sport I do every week!!! :mad1: :mad1: From now on I only watch United games or games related to United in the respect of title chasers or oppnents in next rounds of Cups, the rest can go to hell as I'm done with it and wasting my life with it!

Ok so to United vs Arsenal tomorrow, this is huge! As long as we don't get beat then I'm delighted as if we did lose it opens the door to Chelsea next week when they come to Old Trafford, if we win then it sets it up perfectly next weekend that if we beat Chelsea we win our record 19th League title :shakey: :cloud 9: and our 12th Premiership title in 19 years :shakey: :cloud 9: Come get your 3rd and final beating this season Bab :Boxing: :Boxing: :Boxing:

OK Arsenal-United. I'll get up and watch that.  :)>>>>

Chris, basketball is much worse than football/soccer. The home team gets all the calls. Look at the free-throw attempts in close games in the playoffs. The same guy will have 15 FT attempts at home and 3 on the road. I'm like you, that kind of crap really turned me off to basketball (and it's worse in college than the NBA).

It's just after 8am your time mate kickoff.

I used to think that about basketball but these days I really don't see it half as much as I used to, its much better now and seems so much closer to 50/50 whether its the home or away team. Like I've watched all the playoffs the past 4 years, rather than just Lakers games and I've never become hugely frustrated like I have with football and even when my Lakers lose I don't look at decisions and officials as the reason behind that. And also they'll use video footage at the crucial moments to makesure the calls are correct. Yeah I've seen some of the college basketball and over there it really does seem like the home teams get a few more decisions in their favour. Yeah the crap we are now seeing match in match out and week in week out is a massive turn off and makes me not want to keep wasting hours of my life watching it, United I'll never stop loving but the rest is becoming more and more insignificant.

No wonder!

Chelsea has picked up 25 out of a possible 27 points in their last 9 games!  :scared:

And United just 14 over that stretch, with 3 losses and two 0-0 draws.  :scared: :scared:

And Arsenal, who have lost just once since United, have picked up just 12 points. 6 draws out of 9 games :thumb-down:

Awful performance from us today that :( :( :( We just did absolutely nothing all game and didn't create any sort of chances and there was just no intent there. I was really disappointed with our approach to this game, almost as if we were playing purely for a draw and resting for that. That's 1 dangerous game to play though and a team like Arsenal is always likely to break you down if you let them come onto you.

Yeah I kept saying to people I know Bab how Chelsea were definitely still in months ago and there was no way I was counting them out, they've proved that now. Those stats don't surprise me at all, simply because our away form has been an absolute disaster all year long! Whereas our home form is almost perfect with 16 wins from 17 games in the Premier League.

Arsenal must be kicking themselves though as if they'd just won 1 or 2 more of those games they drew at home they'd be right there now to win this title.

Now next week becomes absolutely epic but thankfully its at Old Trafford otherwise we'd be ready to have a fork put into us! That being said this chance Chelsea have now been given is going to inspire them big time and they'll be sooooo up for it next Sunday. A United win would take us 1 point away from the title, a draw would mean we'd need 4 points from 2 games to guarantee us the title but the unthinkable of a defeat would move Chelsea clear on GOAL DIFFERENCE at the top :( :( :(

Well today's the day then!! A United win and the record 19th League title will basically be our's as we'd need just a point from our last 2 games, however, a Chelsea win and tey will actually go top of the table on GOAL DIFFERENCE with 2 games to play. Its at Old Trafford and it doesn't get any bigger than this United vs Chelsea- an almost title decider!!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet record breaking 19 is about to be our's after we beat Chelsea 2-1 today to go 6 points clear with just 2 games left, just needing 1 point now to clinch the 19th Championship, and to win our 12th Premier League title in 19 years :yahoo: :grind dance: :applause: :shakey: :cloud 9: :winner: :yahoo: :grind dance: :applause: :shakey: :cloud 9: :winner: Boy was that a nerve wracking one though as after Lampard scored for Chelsea after 68 minutes you were just desperate for the clock to speed up but it seemed to take hours but when that final whistle went all the celebrations began!!!!

Lets clinch it away at Blackburn next Saturday lunchtime :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
