This kid is not only the future of American tennis, but men's tennis as well. Is he not? Just won the U.S. Open juniors title and looks to have a promising future. And he's also from Nebraska, much like another popular American tennis player who's turning out to be very overrated.

Maybe Sock will be the Sam Querrey of the next generation, but Ryan Harrison is the future.

Ryan is only 18, but he chose not to play in the juniors at the Open. No one had ever heard of Sock before last year. Ryan has been on everyone's radar for a few years now.

I really like him. I saw his match today and I love his passion. I hope he can go far.

btw, did I mention I have a huge collections of socks and shoes (stupid corporate policies).  :) ... so go Mr Sock ... as long as it's not Nole (I'm getting worse than Dallas and Fed btw) I'll cheer for you  :)

looking at that pic, his volley is not that impressive........his index finger should be more upwards than that on the grip and also he doesn't seem to use his wrist much........i will check out this player anyway........his name sure has a cool ring to it.......

I got to watch the 3rd set of Sock-Cipolla. Couldn't evaluate his game as every rally featured Sock crushing 6 consecutive FHs and Cippola getting them all back. Not sure why Sock didn't end those points sooner. He looked good but not a good opponent to evaluate his game.

I like him. Haven't seen him at the Open yet, but I've been keeping up with his matches and seeing that he's been doing really well. I remember him from the Open a few years ago when he played Roddick. He did really well (Roddick still won), so I figured I'd keep him in mind since he could be the future of American tennis. Ryan Harrison and John Isner both have better shots at that title, but if Sock continues to do well....who knows? Luckily I'll be able to watch his match tomorrow (or technically today I guess) so I'm excited.

From his first U.S. Open press conference after an opening round main draw loss to later, Jack Sock has been asked over and over again about his tennis future. juniors internationally, reached the quarterfinals of the French Open Juniors.
