I certainly am no expert on economics but I do know that if you don't prepare yourself for the coming winter (save) then you'll either freeze or starve to death.

Unless of course you feel that you're entitled to a gov(read- fellow taxpayers) handout because you were too stupid or lazy to prepare.  That goes for both individuals and big biz.

I totally agree, I do think they should start helping politicians with no anti americans feelings to stop the wave.
Yes, it seems that Chavez is slowly becoming unpopular in Venezuela and that's very important, because Chavez is the new Castro and Venezuela is one of the richest countries in the Americas due to the petrol they have.

I am also quite surprised about the US foreign diplomacy, especially since Hilary is the wife of a former president and she knows the mistakes he made. During the Clinton years, they have almost a policy "laisser faire, laisser passser", they didn't do enough or realise the danger of terrorist, only some strikes in sudanese garages and some air strikes in Baghdad while Al Quaeda was getting stronger and more organised.
Sadly I have the same feeling about Nobel Peace winner Obama, I think he is too soft, I think the terrorists were very happy he won the last election because they knew they will have time to regroup and again become stronger and finally I think the terrorists will attack again when someone in the White House will start really to try to crack down the terrorist organisations.

Being a professor isn't a real job? I guess I'll let my tenured professors know that they haven't been working for the past 30 years. Maybe it's just me, but it makes sense that we save during an economic boom and spend what we save during an economic recession, to create jobs and stimulate a sluggish economy. I've only taken micro and macro so maybe this is too simple of a concept but it makes sense to me.
