oh yeah the relegation of Sampdoria made headlines all over the world, big news!!

today it was quite a day in serie b, week 41 of 42.

yesterday Toro only got one point in the visit to Empoli, Toro scored in the 4th minute, but Empoli scored just after ht, 1-1 final score, Empoli were fighting to be in the playoff for promotion to Serie A.

today all eyes in Padova for the battle to the playoff for promotion, Padova-Livorno, 0-1, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2 and in the last minutes 3-2, that means Livorno is out of the playoff for promotion to Serie A, big news.

Reggina drew at home vs a desperated to avoid playout Ascoli, 0-0 and they make the playoffs for promotion to Serie A!!!

Some dramatic results in the battle to avoid relegation and playout, today 3 clubs were relegated, Triestina sad..  now 2 spots left for the playout involving 5 clubs

this has been one of the saddest weeks in the history of calcio.
Permario Morosini, a player on loan to Livorno from Udinese collpased in Pescara in the middle of the 1st half of a serie b match on saturday. he passed away in the hospital, cardiac arrest. he was only 25 years old.
he was from Bergamo, played for the azurri in all the youth categories, including the under 21 european championship.

he was named, the player of the sad eyes.
the story of his life is so sad. his mother passed away when he was a teenager, then his disabled brother (mental problems) commited suicide, then his father died when he was still a teen. he was an orphan and he has passed away in charge of his disabled sister (mental problems). so sad, and cruel.
Udinese and captain Di Natale have said the club will pay all what her sister will need in the psychiatric for the rest of her life, they opened an account to help her. Livorno and Vicenza retired number 25.

alll the professional matches, 4 levels and 6 leagues,  in Italy were cancelled after the tragedy.

may he rest in peace.
