final score, Fiorentina 1 - 0 Cesena. quite a fairly open match. Fiore didn't impress, not too many great chances, the best: the goal of Gilardino in the 59th minute! wonderful ball control, spins around and a great shot, wonderful goal, the goalie not even saw the ball.
Cesena impressed. They have quite a good team for a newly promoted club, great defense but they had 30 minutes to try to equalise and didn't have chances.

the match between Juventus and Roma so far has been incredible, high level quality match! great to watch! still goaless draw but Juve had two great chances (Iaquinta) and they have more ball possession.
1-0 Juve, Iaquinta 34'. Aquillani, former Roma player, with the pass, great ball in, Iaquinta on the volley, scissor kick, wonderful finish, what a goal!
controversial decision just before halftime, almost a 50%-50% penalty not awarded for Roma. difficult to say.
more controversy, just in the last second, Totti strikes a free kick, handball by Pepe of Juventus inside the box and Roma equalises from the penalty spot, 1-1  Totti 45+4' and the end of the half. splending 1st half.
the 2nd half should be a cracking game!! Del Piero come is in in the 59' for Iaquinta! Roma dominating more, ball possession. Marchisio for Juve with a great chance in the 66'. Totti out for Borriello 69'. A great chance for Juve in the 80'. Quagliarell, what a shot in the 86'!
final score, Juventus 1 - 1 Roma, not a good result for both clubs. great match!

Milan Derby just to get underway at the Stadio Meazza!
It is called "Derby della Madonnina" in honour of one of the main sights of the city of Milan, the statue of the Virgin Mary on the top of the Duomo, which is usually called "Madonnina".
It is the only derby in Europe played by two teams which has been champions of Europe and the world.

FORZA INTER!

nightmare start for Inter! clear penalty to Ibrahimovic and he scores in th 5'! 0-1! celebrating just in front of the Curva Nord! and the horrible start continues, Milan with 4 great chances to score the 2nd goal, total in control, Inter nothing so far. Yellow card Gattusso. Cambiasso in for injured Oli, 36'. Yet another injury for Inter who are lacking clear inspiration, no chances at all. Halftime 0-1. Milan dominating but Inter more in control after the substitution. Milito substituted at halftime! and the famous Milanese fog coming! Abate sent off in the 61'! Milan down to 10 men! Materazzi badly injured by a vicious foul from Ibrahimovic who only saw a yellow card! Inter with the game possession but no big chances to equalise yet! End of the match, 0-1! Seems Benitez has no clue of how to run Inter! Milan back at the top of serie A.

Bad loss for Fiorentina, not because it came against Milan, but because they lost one defender to injury and another got red carded seconds before the ref blew the final whistle...  :\

What a disappointment.

I watch my first ever Serie B matches and both my favorite teams blow 1-0 leads as Torino and Siena finish with 1-1 draws.

Later today is the big one, Juve at Fiore

A shorthanded and thoroughly outplayed Fiorentina was the beneficiary of some early aggression that lead to an own goal. Juve would go on to dominate the remainder of the game, but it looked as if Fiore was going to steal this one until the 82' when Juve got the equalizer.

1-1 FT

Great result for a struggling Fiore.

So I just watched Inter win it's 5th major title this year, capturing the FIFA Club World cup convincingly. I know this must be the least of the titles, but having swept all the European championships is quite an accomplishment!

First Italian team to do this.

Bravo! :winner: :applause:

Yeah its definitely more of a 'title' to have thats the nice thing about winning this trophy, as its World Champions of Club football, that's always special to have but doesn't come close to their Champions League and Serie A success earlier in the season. They had a very easy route to this title once the South American team went out.

A good result for Fiore, but no goals 0-0 at Napoli. Now 20 goals in 20 games :thumb-down:

Miss those 2006-07, 08, 09 teams. Mutu and Gilardino are still around, but both are unhappy and want to leave. He's back now, but Gilardino hasn't been healthy either. Miss Toni and Pazzini.

Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble.
