Well Davy went out for me, since he made the first round I get 1 point.
Since i have him for QF, that would have been 50 points max.
So I lost 49 points off of my theoretical maximum.
The maximum points you can have if all your picks were right is 720 points.
Since I lost 49 my new theoretical max is 720-49=671.
Good observation. When I ran NCAA pools, I used 1000 points as the max, then scored from 1000 to 0. Everyone began the pool with 1000 pts. The significance is lost on people until they realize that when they lose their Final Four pick early, they drop from 3rd place to 24th place after one game.
I called it "The Eliminator" because I liked to tell people, "You've been eliminated. Thank you for playing. Good night now."
They'd be, like, "What? How? It's only the 2R? I'm still in 3rd place in all of my other pools."

But for this game, yous guys get the kinder, gentler Babblelot.

I score from 0 to 720.
The other side of the coin was that you'd now lost all of your points and sat waiting for everyone to come back to you.
