The fact that nobody in the mainstream supports him means he is the underdog.. heavily so.. and I back the underdog by default! After having heard and read of the case for his incarceration and the case for his acquittal, I think he is being punished for bucking the big bosses in the US Military/Pentagon/CIA/White House.. Go, Manning! You are more man than all those slaving for the Masters of the Universe! :)>>>> :)>>>>

He put Wikileaks on the map. I don't think any of us had ever heard of them prior to Manning.

Assuming he passed on classified information, what do you propose?  A slap on the wrist and discount vouchers to Disneyworld?

I have far more sympathy for Julian Assange who is publishing leaked information (as do newspapers on a regular basis).  Not much sympathy for Bradley Manning (if he is proven to be guilty as charged)... he's basically a traitor.

Its exactly for the purpose of enabling the leakage of secret info in public interest that whistle-blower protections were included in the law book. Its a whole different matter that successive governments in the USA and most governments in the world treat the law like a mangy cur.. Bradley Manning - American Hero!

That seems a bit drastic.

What would you do if he was your father  or some really close relative of yours?
