My Grandpa was found to have cancer last week (he's almost 89) and my Grandma went to the hospital yesterday for sever back pain.  Seems like when one of them has an issue the other one gets an issue too.  They are typically healthy.  Test results supposed to come back today to tell us if his cancer has spread.  Not interesting, but it is on my mind...

I just got done chairing the Ohio State - Cleveland State match.  The doubles match I was assigned to ended up 8-0 Ohio State in 23 minutes.  That is a new record for quick matches.

As some of you saw on FB, I have a summer internship with Target, and it's paying more per hour than I've ever gotten before. :shakey:

I'm also pledging a sorority, and I'm currently in the "education" phase. I'm excited. :))

Just returned from visiting my daughter in Houston.
Highlights of the trip include-
  • Helping her work on the house and start a small garden.
  • A trip to Mission Control at Johnson Space Center ('Houston, we have a problem'.) where we got to see our girl in her element as a flight controller!  Her station is CATO right in front of the console marked ATLAS.  Obviously, she did not get her brains from me! :))
  • Long morning walks with The Chief.  Good exercise and alone time to reconnect.
  • Crabs from Joe's Crab Shack.
  • Texas -Style barbecue from Rudy's.  Flat out, the best meal I've ever had!  No sides, just meat.  I shall not reveal the poundage of moist beef brisket that I consumed.  :drool::drool::drool::drool:     :zipped:  I now have plans to finally fire up those 2 smokers I've had out in the shed for over 10 years. :))
