Best national pizza chain?
« on: May 31, 2011, 08:03:27 PM »
Okay well I just got a summer delivery driver job at Papa John's aahahah.  This made me start to wonder which is the most popular of the chains?  Personally I like thin crust pizza  and I feel like Dominos and Pizza Hut are superior to my new employer.  So what do ya'll think?

Do NOT patronize (multinational) corporate restaurants. Support your local mom and pops shops before they are no more.

I had the best pizza ever at a small, authentic italian restaurant in Paris. Here, the best pizza I've had is Domino's pacific coast veggie. It's ridiculously good. Add banana peppers and it's perfect. :))

Alex, I love pizza. :innocent:

LOVES me some Pizza Hut!
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Case in point. I had dinner tonight at my favorite Mexican restaurant. It's my favorite because it's good food, yes, but mainly because I can put on my flippy-flops and walk to it. It's also open 24/7 for when I'm :drunk: at 3:00am. I've been going there for 4 years now, and I still don't know the name. But I do know there are 4 or 5 Spanish words strung together.

Anyway, it's a mom and pop shop, and all the profits and tax revenue stay in Chicago and Illinois. If people stopped going because the times are tough and they were forced to relocate or close altogether, do you know what would take its place? Subway. God Forf**ksaking Subway Corporate Eyesore Sandwiches. And all the profits and income tax revenue would leave Illinois and move to Oregon. And people wonder why states are broke. It's a result of this chase to the bottom. States simply don't collect the revenue they once did. When my sister, a resident of California--a state that's in dire financial straights--started her business, she incorporated in Nevada in order to get a lower income tax rate. Stupid! She's part of the problem. So I told her don't b**ch when the state raises your property taxes. You think you're so smart trying to save a buck and you'll end up paying 2 more in the end because a lot of knuckleheads like you are doing the same.

Actually I am not too fond of pizzas myself, I just run short of time and pizzas come in handy...besides most of any parties on campus have pizzas because that's the cheapest. Its not necessarily a choice. If I had healthier food for the same price, not just me, a lot of people might just go for it I guess.
Anyway, corporate American foodchains are all over the world...I still remember how KFC was banned in India 9 years back because of protests from social activists who were against 'capitalising' food, only to come back 8 years later, strongly at that and establish themselves in almost every nook and corner of the big cities.  :\
