Ever see Berastegui's forehand? You need to.
« on: December 13, 2011, 01:19:30 AM »
His FH grip was so extreme that he hit the ball with the back side of the face. I mean, he struck the ball on the same side of the strings on the FH as he did the BH. Err... Just watch.

Forward to 2:45 and  ;;)

I've never seen any tennis player holding his racket like Berasatequi.  He was a very good clay player. I've seen a few of his matches. Although he had a beautiful FH that unusual western grip was a reason that he had to retire very young with many wrist injuries.  Thanks for sharing that video  :thumbs-up:

On the other hand we should probably start a new thread where we can post some old tennis videos and discuss older/retired tennis players.

a truly humble and very likable player

sad he did not won the RG final against hitting partner Bruguera,
with that shot, the all spanish final, and the young guys that were coming to the party in Paris,  L'equipe invented the term Armada.

trully hoping his biggest project involving tennis will  soon be a reality.

Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble.
