Hello all!  Another day of good tennis I see!!  I'm watching Wawrinka / Baghdatis. I thought this one would be interestng & it is. Wawrinka in particuar playing some superb, attacking tennis. His Bh & FH have produced some gorgeous winners. Baghdatis up against it as it 5 -1 to Wawrinka in the 4th set & he is 2-1 sets up.

Nadal / Federer / Del Potro / Berdych / Dolgopolov through. Federer gets a walkover - Beck pulled out with a back injury.

Sorry to see Nabandian to go out so early after such a well contested match but he had his chances & failed to take them. Well done to Isner for getting through. Also sorry to see Young & Dimitrov go out .  Falla took Fish out, which was unexpected.

My one to watch - Tomic - did well again, getting past Querry in 4 sets. Good for him!

Down goes Fish, Querrey and Young......USTA - back to the developmental drawing board.  Has it ever been this bad for USA tennis?

Well....old faithful "Roddick" is still there... :rofl_2:  I've never been one to  just pick a 'favorite' based on nationality.  My favorites have been Ashe (USA); Borg (Swed); Lendl (Czech), Sampras (USA) and now Roger (Swiss)....so 2 have been from the USA but I didn't like them because they were Americans, if you know what I mean?

Dimitrov wants to play like Federer but he's too tall for that style. He needs to accept that he's a big man and play like it.
Then we will fight in the shade.

Yes it is.  I was able to see the replay on Eurosport.  The Wawrinka BH is easy on the eye too - it was in evidence today.

Its not as if he is 6ft 6in. He's just 1 inch tall. That's a poor observation.

Actually, 2 were still wrapped.

Dimitrov is 6'3" which is 2" taller then Federer. He's a big man and needs to play like one. For one thing he needs a much bigger serve.

Petzchner looks like he's got rash all over his body. He is twitching and scratching himself at every given opportunity. If I were Raonic I'd be careful when shaking his hand.
