I'm getting excited.......... I love it!  I just hope my favorites stay in the tournament through the end!   :))

Same here. The buzz around a slam is something else - let battle commence!  Good luck with your favourites!   :)

As for timing, I'll actually be able to watch some of the first round matches  - yippeeeee!!!!

Here is the schedule of play for Monday the 16th.

http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/scores/schedule/index.html

rsosa92 - I agree that Tomic should see off Verdasco.  Nothing is a given, but I expect Federer & Nadal to get past their respective opponents ( of whom I know zilch!)

My other picks for the day are :      Del Potro, Dolgopolov, Dimitrov, Berdych, Wawrinka, Young.

Carpe Diem

Federer gets 2 days rest(Frid/Sat)again,if he goes deep enough,it does not matter what side of the draw he is on.Of couse no-one will notice this.
Fed starts early while the others are resting, it's a conspiracy against olderer.  :rofl_2:

I read this from AUSOPEN site and I thought it was disrespectful towards Chardy.

Worth keeping an eye is highly-hyped Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, 20, versus the plodding Frenchman Jeremy Chardy.

Not so sure about that Super E, they seem to be using ESPN3.  Although my service provider is listed on their list, I have never been able to get it.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Yes, apparently it is ESPN derived. But it is coming through fine right now on my computer from the AO site.

Del P has a long record as a slow starter so there is still reason for optimism.

For me, Del Potro stands to far back from baseline.

My service provider is Insight, but when I click on that as my provider it tells me I cannot use ESPN3 as it is exclusive to a provider I do not have.  Been that way since it came out, so I am officially cut off.

2-6 for Del Po is sad.  If he loses this match I will be shocked.

There is also Del Potro did not serve in 1st set, only 50% compare his opponent 85%.
