Whintey Houston passed away
« on: February 12, 2012, 09:11:24 AM »
It's so sad. I remember her as a young girl with a golden voice. I still have her cds. I was never into pop music that much but I do think that she had a fantastic voice. It breaks  my heart. God bless her soul.

Fortune and fame are no replacement for happiness.

She seemed like a real sweetheart early in her career and then just sort of got lost.

Poor soul.

I like jazz and classical music but she had an amazing voice. I truly love Amy Winehouse (freaking amazing voice)  and she is gone too. it's so sad to see people destroying themselves ... all the talent they have... money and still they go crazy ..

Whitney was my girl back in the day.  It was a shame that later in  life, she couldn't even sing her own songs.

so true unfortunately... still look at Tina Turner. I mean that woman is so amazing. She was able to sing and dance  for over two hours in her 60s

I think Whitney made a serious mistake in her life by marrying Bobby Brown which introduce her to drugs and high living.  It been just reported that she made over $100 million in her life just off of her 10 year Capital Records deal alone but died nearly penniless! :(

Depends on how many zeros.

But yeah, you have to be happy with yourself.

Just ask Whitney.
Or Amy.
Or He of The One White Glove.
Or The King.

Contrary to popular belief, it's not the Benjamin's that bring any happiness at all.  Only those that envy fortune and fame believe that.

It's all on the inside Swishman.

gosh, I was listening to her CD today... enjoyed it so much. so many memories came back. I was just a kid when she became famous. I remember her singing in front of huge crowds. I also believe that Brown basically destroyed her life but she should have known better.  :(

It’s hard to believe for me that she is no more… Her songs have been amazing for me to hear.
