Is Blake still out of tennis?  I thought he played in San Jose last year and did well; maybe 3rd round?  Anyone know what doing with James?

He pulled out of AO; story said "person reasons." Haven't heard anything since.

Wow, this is the 2nd oldest US tournament dating back to 1889. 120 years in San Jose???

Raonic should take this title and repeat here. I am impressed. Barring injuries, he should easily be in the top 15. I hope he's been consistently improve his ground-game. He already has a weapon in his serve and we know the importance of weapons but we also need no weaknesses in today's day and age to do well, I sure hope he's been working on improving his ground game, and of course, if he can improve upon coming to the net that'll be an added bonus in today's game.

Did anyone notice that Raonic clocked a 155mph serve this week in San Jose?   :scared:

Raonic lost just four points on serve to successfully defend his San Jose title with an explosive 7-6 (3), 6-2 victory.
 
He hit seven aces, won 17 of 18 points played on his second serve and held at love in seven of his 10 service games.
 
 
Those are ridiculous numebrs for a 21 game match.
