Check out how this match ended. WOW! Now to make matters even more interesting, next Saturday, Ohio State and Kentucky play a regular season match in Columbus with me in 1 of the umpire chairs. It is gonna be intense. Ohio State has won 135 home matches in a row dating to the 2002-03 season. Needless to say, that streak will be put to a severe test in a few days.
http://www.itatennis.com/AboutITA/News/Semifinals_Set_for_2012_ITA_National_Men_s_Team_Indoor_Championship.htm The showdown at the fourth position was the deciding match, as Ohio State’s No. 99 Ille Van Engelen and Kentucky’s No. 79 Tom Jomby battled deep into the final set. With Jomby serving trailing 6-5, 15-30, Van Engelen hit a shot that appeared to clip the sideline, but was called out by Jomby. Van Engelen questioned the call, which was overruled by the chair umpire. It was the third time Jomby had been overruled in the match, resulting in a point penalty and giving the Buckeyes the chaotic 4-3 win.
