Maybe. I do not think he will achieve much. But I think he will win a Grand Slam.

He'll be in the mix for another slam, has decent chances for Wimbledon and USO.
Then the olympics is another one he has a chance.

OK, Nole no1, thanks for opening an interesting thread where you actually have something to say.

Fed is always a dangerous player. Even being 30yo he is still awesome. I don't think he'll win more slams but you never know. Fed is not as consistent as he used to be. He can still play amazing tennis but he can also shank the ball left and right. I somehow feel that he might win another slam under the right circumstances but not sure it's gonna happen... we'll see.

The inspired tennis that made him, for me, the very best of best players, is less evident these days. More than that , or perhaps because of it, he no longer seems to have the consistency required to play his best tennis for a whole tournament, or ability to move up a level to quelch the efforts of a determined opponent.
Add to that the fact that there are some quite excellent other players in the mix, on great form, and hungry for the win too, and the equation of his potential to win gets even more complex. And with Djokovic & Nadal rampant, it seems a truly tall order for Federer to lift a GS title again.

Much as I would love to see Federer win another slam, I would be more realistic in hoping that he can stay in the top five & enjoy his competitive tennis a while longer.  If for no other reason, than because for me, just seeing his flashes of brilliance is worth watching. It always will be. The winning is a welcome bonus.

Carpe Diem

I'll be honest with you guys. As a Nole fan it still freaks me out every time he is playing with Fed. Yes, Nole won 4 matches last year against Fed, lost 1 but still... I get scared  :). Nowadays tho Fed is so unpredictable ... you just don't know which Fed will show up

That is correct.

We'll see how he does against Nadal at IW today.
Taking this title would be a good gauge of how he'll do later at slams and a definite confidence boost.
