Bummer! Raonic needs to stay healthy. Good for Murray though, I want to see him make the final here and win.

They always say that.  :confused1:

When a player gets a break they say he consolidates the break if he wins his next service game.

But no break is consolidated till the set is won, the one with the break has to hold the rest of the set to really consolidate the break.

OK, I got that out of my system.

That's the problem with trying to "predict" who someone's career will go.  Many say Raonic will be the next 'big thing', but first he has to try to stay healthy.  He's young - yet he's missed a lot of tennis already because of this or that....now an Ankle?  Sid, I'm sure you're glad your boy moved on.

Wow---what happened with Berdych?  He, also - is up and down a lot!

And what's it with Novak?  I saw the ending of his match yesterday and if I didn't know any better, I would have thought that was a final instead of the 2nd round - with the way Novak was acting. :rofl_2:  Bumping his chest, etc.... I had to check my schedule again to make sure they didn't skip over these early rounds and move straight to the final! :rofl_2:

He's a light weight.
Can be very consistent and tireless.
Usually forces opponents to play their best and when they do, he has no weapons to counter with.
I still like to watch him play, as he is not a ball basher, and appears to have great court sense.
CONK da ball!!!

That never made sense to me either.
Yes, holding serve does seem to consolidate the momentum.
But as you've stated, that only lasts as long as you continue to hold your own serve for the remainder of the set.

when Isner starts?
Around 9p.m. EST.  Too late for this fan.
Turns out he fell 4 & 2 to Mayer.
A tad disappointing to say the least.
It did seem to be fairly windy in Miami last night.

Stepanek gave Nadal no problems whatsoever.
I was hoping he'd push him a little bit. :(

the crowd was against him... which is copletely normal as Marcos was an underdog plus Marcos is a such a lovable player . Nole wants to be loved. It really annoys me sometimes. that's why he celebrated as if he won W again. not a big deal...
