If Venus can get a win over Kvitova; which is unlikely; she will have a re-injunivated career!  Even if she can get close like 4-6, 5-7; she is on her way to a second top 5 ranking.

Venus is up against Date-Krumm.  I wonder how Venus will play after being out for a while????

Didn't SEE the match, but looking at the score - Venus must have played pretty well.  She beat her match: 60 63!!!  She's going to have a tougher 2nd round match though.  But I'm glad she got through her first round without any trouble!!!!

Well, I attended Key Biscayne tournament years ago; and it seems that they are limiting coverage to draw people to the tournament.  Plus, they just do not have a good setup for telecast at this tournament unless it is in the Stadium or the Grandstand which is free.   Otherwise; there is no room for all the all the technical crew and announcers in the other courts to set comfortable so they can "talk".  I mute the sound however when I watch the Tennis Channel and CBS coverage.  They just cannot get over themselves and talk and talk and talk.

It kind of a surprise that Venus won so easily over Kvitova.  But Petra has had a bad start in 2012.

And V won her next match in 3 tough sets!  So far all of my "girls" are still in: Victoria, Serena, and Venus!
