I feel so bad for Monaco. He started this season sto well, and I had great expectations from him on clay as he is a really good clay player. Hopefully, he recovers soon.

On the other hand, I kinda agree with Babs and Dallas regarding Nadal's knees. First he said they were fine, now he is not sure. Kinda preparing an excuse if he doesn't do well at MC. Sorry Rafa fans but that's my impression.  :innocent:.

I wonder if this is keeping the army  :zipped:

Nadal worried about knee as his clay season starts
Monday, April 16, 2012

http://tennis.com/articles/templates/news.aspx?articleid=17278&zoneid=4

The 'sarcastic' side of me is saying he's telling us he's worried about it "JUST IN CASE" he doesn't do good this clay season...then people can say "well, if it wasn't for his knee.... :rofl_2:  But my brain is telling me he's going to be just fine and dominate the clay season like he has in the past.  The ONLY person that can trouble Nadal on clay is Novak.

Nadal should be worried, because the knee treatments worked before doesn't mean it will work again.
But I understand the skepticism as he's done very well when saying he wasn't quite right to play at earlier times.

I'm hoping he is as well as can be, though he's not my favorite I want him to be at near best.
The excitement for me comes from serious challenges to my favorites and rivalries of the top players in top shape.

If the players I pull for win by beating degraded/injured players it's not such a good experience.

I'll be fascinated to see how well Kei does on the slow clay.
Then we will fight in the shade.

I think this tournament can be very good, but would be better if Federer participate.

Fed's resting. He probably is interested in a Nadal/no-jok final too and will be watching.

True, at times Dolgo can play exciting tennis and has an interesting game.

I'll be checking it out to see what kind of form Djokovic is in.
