Yeah, very sad about Soderling. I remember him losing to Tomic in straight sets at Wimbledon and everyone announcing Tomic had arrived. But in his presser, Soderling was saying he had trouble focusing on the ball and he didn't feel well.

We kind of scoffed at it then. Within a week or two, he was gone.

Dallas I expected Raonic to do well on clay BECAUSE of the very fact that he doesn't seem to have much of an upside at the very outset. He still has the big serve and he should be working on improving his ground game and movement and the clay allows him a chance to do that. We've seen people like Isner, Querrey, Soderling and even Del Potro, Ancic and Cilic do really well on clay and I think Raonic can make big moves, I'm not saying he'll be the next RG champion but I do expect good runs.

That said he lost in first round to a guy who hasn't won a first round match in the last 7 tournaments.

Montaņes really needed that win, he is having a very bad year but he is very tricky to play on clay.
Raonic is each day at the RCTB and I can not think of another club better in order to improve his game on clay.

Isn't Soderling trying to recover from Mono?  Maybe someone can enlightened us.  Seems like he had the kind of Mono that Ancic had - and we know he ever really came back either.

Interesting on Murray. What makes you confident, his results have been nothing spectacular this year, he had a great match against Djokovic but lost, lost conclusively to Federer in Dubai although he did beat Djokovic there - however he couldn't back up that win against Djokovic when he played him again in the final in Miami.

Also, where do you see him breaking through, RG is pretty tightly in the hands of Nadal, with Djokovic and Federer close behind, and both have a lot more clay history to hold their own. Grass - we still have Federer and Nadal who have a strong history of doing well on grass. USopen might be his best chance.. a lot of things can change by then though.

Victoria Azarenka.  I buy her!  Azarenka has show she can win matches and even tournaments.  It think she has a good chance at the French and Wimbledon in 2012.  For sure the U.S. Open!  Also, the year end tournaments.  Azarenka could be the 2011 Djokovic of ladies tennis for 2012!

I am basing my opinion on a hunch  and also due to a couple of im,provements I noticed.  #1 - he LOOKS much better physically.  It looks like Lendl has been pushing him in the weight room.  We all know what happened to the joker's career when he got in shape.

Also, I would like to add Raonic to my BUY list.
