Interesting about Murray. I mean, he's still 'relatively' young, but for what Novak and Rafa has accomplished in the same age range...Murray is quite a bit behind them. Now if you put all these little 'injuries' in the mix.... he might be a player to 'sell'. Of course, I never bought him in the first place. (don't tell Sid) 
It's more like "Well there's no one else, Murray's the best we got.." than "Murray's the best we got!". You have Nadal Djokovic and Federer and then you have the rest of the field, the VERY BEST of whom are capable of taking out maybe one of these players every now and then, but none of them has shown anything to prove that they can go all the way. Murray's also not shown he can go all the way but he's gotten closer and maintained a level of consistency beyond any of the others. So it's pretty much who's the best bet to step up
IF Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer falter and the answer by process of elimination is Murray.
I don't want to say it's unfortunate because that's just not fair for people who have made their own fortune, but it doesn't seem like Nadal/Djokovic/Federer are going anywhere anytime soon. At least as a trio of champions, they're very hard to break down. Maybe one of the falters every now and then but as trio, they're too solid.
Do keep in mind though that it wasn't too long ago that the same could be said about Federer and Nadal alone and Djokovic put himself in that equation on his own, so no excuses for Murray. For all we know it could have been Murray in Djokovic's shoes today but it isn't and he has only himself to look for a reason for that.
