Serbia Open Hailed One Of The Best Tournaments
After the first ATP World Tour event ever to be held on Serbian soil was a roaring success in 2009, the tournament followed up with a stellar two years. “This tournament has only been around for two years but it’s run flawlessly,” praised 2010 champion Sam Querrey. “It’s a great event, the venue’s great, the fans are into it. Honestly, it’s one of the best tournaments all year.”

Nalbandian Highlights Field
Former World No. 3 David Nalbandian is one of four Top 50 players to feature at this year’s Serbia Open. The Argentine player, a runner-up at Wimbledon in 2002, is making his debut in Belgrade and is bidding to win his first ATP World Tour title since Washington in August 2010.
Andujar In Form - Spain’s Pablo Andujar is at a career-high World No. 38 shortly after winning his second ATP World Tour title in Casablanca. The 26 year old is set to play in Belgrade for the first time.
Hoping To Go One Further - Poland’s Lukasz Kubot lit up the inaugural edition of the Serbia Open, qualifying into the main draw before going on to reach the final (l. to Djokovic). He returns in search of his first title.
Resurgent Nieminen - Finland’s Jarkko Nieminen ended a six-year title drought at the start of the season in Sydney and comes into his Belgrade debut having reached two more quarter-finals.
