not a surprise, Nico is extremely popular in all the country, he has a joking, funny personality. Almagro could host a tv night talk show, Ferrer has legions of fans when tennis really matters; in Barcelona (he is the local boy in Valencia). Ferru is the humble warrior who doesn't speak too much to the media and doesn't care about PR, focus on just the game.
big contrast of styles between those 2 players, the shotmaking of Nico and that backhanded, trully wishing he finds a coach to bring the fighting spirit and believe, he is that kind of player that almost all coaches in the world will want to have, and please not too late as Lopez has done with Berasategui.

whoever wins this tournament is going to have to deliver the usual speech about how much he liked the blue clay and how comfortable he felt sliding on the surface.......the winner will also have to praise ian tiriac for this innovative idea and praise the whole ground staff for working on the surface throughout the tournament.......

apart from tipsarevic, i don't see anyone else having the courage to do all that stuff.......so don't be surprised if tipsarevic wins the one and only blue clay tournament.......

where was that Rage when two player had very hard injuries ( Benneteau &Monaco ) in "super slow" Monte Carlo ???

blue clay is wrong only because of color : red clay is great European tradition and it should stay that way ...
court speed is another matter : do we need another super slow event ( among many :AO, Miami M, MC ......and Wimbledon -with those heavy balls)?

say what you want, the surface is the same for everyone (whatever) ... but DP almost broke his leg slipping on the court ... Tiriac should be arrested for this stupid sh!t court

I disagree, there was a big problem with the clay on the left far end of the club house tribune of the Court Centrale, both players took the nasty fall in almost the same spot, Pico is back in Rome, Benneteau broke ankle and elbow, doubful for the olympics, the rest of the courts were ok. Madrid, well, you know the story about the blue clay, for example Robredo didn't want a comeback wildcard to play on the surface after recovering from hip injury during 6 months.

Yes it will.  Berdych has been playing pretty well lately and has won 3 of the last 5 against Roger.  I hope Roger can take it this time!!!!  GO ROGER!!!!!!

Well, next year should be better.
They want to have all the top players there.
