Not too much is being said about this weekend in Rome.
It's big, there's a lot on the line for the top 3 here.
The points is one of the things to look at and then there's the confidence on the line too.
Fed wants to make a point that he's still in the run everywhere.
I would guess that he wants this one badly. He's never won this master and would give him 8 different masters, he's tied with Agassi at 7/9 masters won now.
He'd want to make a statement going through Djokovic and probably Nadal.
If he does make it to the final I don't think it will be easy for Nadal like in the past.
Djokovic has lost some luster, he doesn't look to invincible as before and has lost some consistency though still very good.
If Djokovic gets knocked out tomorrow it will hurt his confidence, it's getting to be too long since he's put up those great numbers in 2011 and should start to wear on him.
There's no remedy except winning the title, anything else while still good won't be enough for a number one player.
Nadal has to have this one, his confidence can't be as high as it should coming into RG wirh anything but a title here.
If Nadal stays at #3 he can end up playing Djokovic in the RG semis and just the danger of having that matchup in the semis will bring a lot of pressure.
Then for Fed, if he can stay at #2 he has a chance of Nadal being taken out by Djokovic at RG if Nadal ends up in Djokovic's half.
Fed would have a decent chance of grabbing another RG against Djokovic in the final.
