Hilarious thing just  happened on Twitter. Djokovic tweeted:

Talk about disrespect to Seppi.
Then we will fight in the shade.

that's so disrespectful, I can only hope Nole is goofing around ... but not cool at all. sure Roger is probably going to win, but Nole is being very arrogant here ... gosh, not happy about this at all  :\ ... Seppi does have a chance, he played a great match against Wawa ... Djoko I hate you right now.

What Djoker just did you don't even joke about in sports. I mean come on, he's at the event site he knows Roger/Seppi hasn't even started. Believe me, everyone in the locker room knows.

no, you are completely right. Nole is just being an idiot. yes, we all know that all top 3 guys are being big divas sometimes ... but this is just not acceptable ... I kinda feel, Seppi should beat both Roger and Novak  :\

Federer playing well.  Up a couple of breaks  4-0.  I hope Seppi settles down soon - it would be good to have a decent match.

That 3 hour match hurting Seppi right now. 5 games done, around 12 minutes into the set so far. Roger has won 20 points to 3 for Seppi. All 3 on Seppi's serve.

Some good tennis from Seppi towards theend but Federer takes the first set 6-1, playing beautifully.

NID.  sure, I was sure Rog was going to  win, I just kinda hoped for a more competitive match. OK, I have to be honest right now, I'm drooling over the Djokovic vs. Fed match right now  :))

I thought Seppi would have played better by being in Rome.  Guess I forgot to take in consideration their H2H and the match-up.  Seppi doesn't have anything to hurt Roger with and Roger feasted on Seppi's 2nd serve.  I'm surprised Seppi won 38% of his second serves!  I thought it would have been a lot lower percentage.  But Roger has been playing well and it will be a battle (I hope) - on tomorrow.  Novak isn't #1 for anything... so Roger will have to continue to play well.  I will say that I think the Roger/Novak match-up on clay is a heck of a lot better than a Roger/Nadal match-up on clay.

Soooooooooo.... Tomorrow I'll be pulling for Ferrer and Federer!  (The "old" guys)... :))

Seppi, unseeded here, did very well to get through to this stage. Repeating anything like his performance of yesterday was clearly too much or him today.  Still well done to him.

As for Federer, some quite outstanding tennis played, and looking relaxed.   I'm sure Djokovic will give him something to worry about though!  :)  It should be a good semi between them & my match of the day for tomorrow.

I pick Federer & Nadal to go through.  In the one case, I'm stating the blindingly obvious. In the other, I'm listening to my heart.

Not too much is being said about this weekend in Rome.
It's big, there's a lot on the line for the top 3 here.

The points is one of the things to look at and then there's the confidence on the line too.

Fed wants to make a point that he's still in the run everywhere.
I would guess that he wants this one badly. He's never won this master and would give him 8 different masters, he's tied with Agassi at 7/9 masters won now.
He'd want to make a statement going through Djokovic and probably Nadal.
If he does make it to the final I don't think it will be easy for Nadal like in the past.

Djokovic has lost some luster, he doesn't look to invincible as before and has lost some consistency though still very good.
If Djokovic gets knocked out tomorrow it will hurt his confidence, it's getting to be too long since he's put up those great numbers in 2011 and should start to wear on him.
There's no remedy except winning the title, anything else while still good won't be enough for a number one player.

Nadal has to have this one, his confidence can't be as high as it should coming into RG wirh anything but a title here.
If Nadal stays at #3 he can end up playing Djokovic in the RG semis and just the danger of having that matchup in the semis will bring a lot of pressure.

Then for Fed, if he can stay at #2 he has a chance of Nadal being taken out by Djokovic at RG if Nadal ends up in Djokovic's half.
Fed would have a decent chance of grabbing another RG against Djokovic in the final.
