Nadal still has chance to pass Federer and back to No.2 if he wins Roma Master. The current point have subtracted Roma Master point last year which means if Nadal win 325 point more than Federer in this tournament. Then he can back to No.2 before French open. To do this, regard to current circumstance, the only way he can pass Federer is to win this title. In other hand, the only way can 100% make sure Federer still remain No.2 for French Open is Federer wins this title by himself.

This title is very important for both Nadal and Federer.

It would be awesome if fed wins the title.but from the little tennis knowledge that i have, IF fed wins today against djokovic, he's most likely to get beaten again by nadal( 80-85 % chance)..

but lets assume, if fed wins the title, the main news would be the seedings at RG..there's a high possibility that nadal can end up on djokovic's half...

i am almost expecting it, but knowing nadal, i think he'll grab no.2 again.. :Confused:

Just read that Murray said "his back is still hurting and affected him in his loss to Gasquet". I watched that match and didn't see Murray being affected at all by his back. I thought Gasquet just played better. Uhm...

gosh, Nadal will probably take this, but for a such a small guy Ferrer is playing some beautiful tennis. We don't appreciate Ferrer enough.

nope. He led 3-1 and went for a drop shot from near the baseline. And then lost the edge at 5-5 when his volley just wasn't good enough.

Federer broken in the third game. Djokovic doing ok so far, doing a good job of showing why he's the favourite. Come on Federer!

Djokovic's excellent defense and Federer's really low first serve percentage (39% for the first set) are the story of the set so far.

That was a beautiful set of tennis from Djokovic. Moved really well, and defended really well and great length on all the shots. In short, doing what he does best. 

Federer needs to up his serving percentage and keep pushing Djokovic around and let loose with his backhands up the line more often.

It's really hard to watch Fed in matches like these where he's struggling. Not sure if he's going to do something different and make a move or if he's just killing some time and accepting the inevitable loss.. very little read on him. UFE count for Federer upwards of 30 and Djokovic just above 10. Every rally is heavily in Djokovic's favor.
