Proper clay court tennis = heavy topspin, patient defensive play, tons of endurance (unless you take breaks of 30-60 seconds between points) and lonnnnnnng borrrrrrring points which some folks enjoy. :)

All that being said, I agree with Shankar and wished the courts played slower.  I prefer more contrast between the surfaces.
ok that can be said of all the surfaces........

Can't argue with Shanks! Roger and Adrian were belting the ball hard.. I definitely enjoyed both players taking the ball early and looking to dominate.. Also, if Roger is going to beat Rafa or Nole, he needs to play the high-tempo, aggressive game - I have a dream!!

Agreed Shank,i think he stretching it a bit too much as well, this year it's like having 5 majors. His team & Lendl wanted Andy to pull out after that first set,Murray will have many more Slams to play in.

Sure those marathons of his can be entertaining sometimes, but seriously a guy who's just waiting to put his 'shiny left foot by the baseline'  :)~, and not putting efforts on opponent's serve is smth I don't find entertaining at all  :ZZZZZ)

Wow. Can't believe Isner lost. In a fifth set. I thought he was king of marathons. Him and Frenchmen in the first round of majors  :zipped:

mathieu knew isner was going to tire sooner or later.......he just hung around without being frustrated despite numerous wasted match points.......i don't see him recovering from this in 2 days........so he goes out next round.......

I don't like Isner's game at all. nothing really exciting ... I didn't see the match, so I can't really comment. Happy for Haas.

18-16 in the fifth..fifth set took around 2.5 hours to finish.. :lmao:
exciting stuff..from PHM & isner..
the main reason for isner loss was the crowd.. they supported PHM A LOT !! & that probably made him wild..:)
