Maria's quarter is almost as cruel as federer's draw in Mens..she has kirilenko, wozniacki & the Hot favourite to RG : Serena..

i'll be picking Serena Only if she has eliminated her lower back injury..
Azarenaka, masha & li na also have a good chance..

poor schiavone..she has a bad win-loss record for 2012..:(..i hope she makes a statement at her favourite slam.. :)>>>>

wozniacki doesn't have a chance. Serena, yeah, she's always a threat.

I actually manged to watch Venus vs. that other girl, sorry can't remember her name something O.... I'm very proud of myself as I haven't watched any WTA matches in ages ... Venus still looks good tho, some great line shots, just beautiful FH ...  she can still play some fantastic  tennis ... I wish Venus would win RG ... cheering for her all the way ... just not sure if it's me or my TV, but gosh she looks so skinny, tiny, it's crazy .... the other girl was good tho  ... very interesting match ...

I have been out of pocket all day!  I didn't see ANY live tennis (but I have it all recorded!) :innocent:  Guess I better 'catch up' on what I missed.  Glad to see Venus come through.

I can't believe Serena lost. I didn't see the match tho. but what the hell? I expected, that she would win the whole thing. silly women  ..-). the whole WTA is helpless  :\

I'm sure Maria is doing a dance right now. (I know Chris is) :\

Serena played like 'crap' and her opponent took it to her (until she started getting nervous towards the end).  Serena had a 5-1 lead in the 2nd set tie-break after winning the first set.  Surely....we all thought.... but...oh well...

This is the first time in her HISTORY that she's lost in a grand slam in the first round.

It really opens the draw for Maria since they were scheduled to meet each other.

For me - I'm still pulling for either Victoria or Venus now - THE 2 V'S!!!!

Do you think Serena wasn't match-fit or her back/injury was the problem, combo of both. Or something else?
