kvittova was downright horrible from start to finish.......she hardly middled 5 forehands through out the match.......pathetic result.......i rest my hopes on errani now........she is way more consistent than kvitty.......

But this is her first slam so she will really be nervous; 2nd: Maria is really playing pretty well.  I think this is Maria's tournament.

i wish screamapova's serve and forehand totally desert her in the final.......

maria looks really strong. And even tho I don't like her, like Serena, they deserve to win when they are playing this strong. If the other players are mental midgets and can't keep their game together sadly, they don't deserve to win. I mean, Li, Kvitova, Azarenka, Kuzy (ALL THE TIME), Stosur... all have great games but mentally are just not there.

Then you have Wozy and Aga, who need more firepower or just be more aggressive (because I think they have it in them). Yet because they are so used to their defensive game can't turn up the dial. Hingis was like that.

I hope Errani's game can do it and frustrate Maria but I don't know. I think Errani might be blown off the court.

i like maria sharapova despite her screams..she's been a fighter & i always admired her for that :)>>>>...

& i have been heavily impressed by errani's clay court season..she's been phenomenal in 2012 clay season.. :king:

i think player's nerves will play an imp. part..for maria, its a chance to complete career slam..for sara, its her first Grandslam final..

my heart says errani but my mind says Sharapova( correction : my mind screams Sharapova  :)~ )

may the best player win !! :king: :// :)

i would LOVE for errani to play the match of her life tomorrow and pull a schiavone!!! maybe the pressure of being in the RG final for the first time trying to complete the career GS will get to sharapova causing her to tank her serve?  :dunno: although i doubt it.  :\

errani needs to do what shciavone and stosur did to win their finals: play fearlessly!!!!

She needs a couple of things to happen.

1. Maria goes for too much on her ROS and piles up errors instead.

2. Keep the ball alive, then dink and run Maria forward and around.

3. Serve near perfect on 1st serve.

It's going to be a loud final. I wonder how that will play in Paris  :uhm:

errani is the first clay court specialist sharapova will be facing in this tournament........let's not be surprised if errani takes this one........sharapova is not that good on clay and she doesn't deserve to win this tournament.......

Nobody 'deserves' anything except what they get in life, more so in tennis.. If Sharapova is here in the finals, she has done so on the basis of her performances.. For all her lack of clay-court credentials, she is still a bloody-minded 'gladiator' on the court, with a big return game.. She does not need a stellar baseline defense to beat her opponents, unlike on the men's side..
Sara needs to overcome the jitters related to her first GS final, or this will be another blow-out, which would be so very disappointing.. It won't surprise me if MaSha completed her career Slam at RG, a la Roger in 2009..

congrats to Maria. Errani tried, but sharapova has too much fire power.

kudos to Maria and her fans.

ugh... can't believe it. stupid mental midgets, stosur, kvitova, and li. Altho, the way Maria has been playing, maybe Serena was the only one who could beat her.

i didn't doubt it. I've been saying how she can move on clay for awhile now. When she beat, i think Justine on clay, that's when I knew she was a threat.

not a surprise at all Maria completing the career slam, told Chris it was just a matter of time.

don't like to watch a sreaming player but when you are watching such a fighter, doesn't matter much if she screams or roars, take Seles for example. nobody is perfect.

the event has been a complete fiasco for all the top seeds players, don't going to elaborate and mention names but a lot of underachieving players.

it was totally deserved that the two best clay courterts of the season were in the final. Errani has won 3 clay titles (Acapulco, Barcelona and Budapest). Too bad the olympic final is on grass, with Errani wins this year in Acapulco, Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros. they would be the favorites if the olympics were played on clay. Again Excellent season for Sara.

Maria deserved the title, and no asterisk title because others didn't played well.
Maria has won the triple crown on clay this year: Stuttgart, Rome and Roland Garros

Remarkable steady comeback, 4 years ago she was done with the shoulder injury.

Now, I remember the words of Chris about Maria and RG and Masha saying she was not going to play until age 30 and an early retirement, at age 27. She is a billionaire, she has won the career slam and she will go to the olynpics in the same situation as Serena, with olnly the olympic gold in singles left in her career.

I have always admire 2 things about Maria, she smiles little when she wins and she smiles big at the net when she loses and the other thing is her wonderful apppetite for the game, what a great competitor, I am now wondering if she wins gold for how long she will be around because the wta needs her more than ever.

Also this title is special because with the russian golden generation in the farewell tour, Masha is the flagbearear, Dementieva is badly missed while Petrova and Kuzzy sadly are in the last lap and Zvonareva in a russian personal turmoil and sadly it seems there is no money to bring young stars from Russia, in fact the moeney is in Kazakhstan.

Again, well done Maria, congratulations on completing the career golden slam and good luck at the olympics.
the cow on ice has won the french. bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope she'llbe around for a very long time, such a fighter with a great appetite for the game is badly needed on the wta right now.
