time is running out on nalFATian. he wanted this title pretty bad. titles are hard to come by.
he got butchered here  by nole 6-0, 6-1 in 2008 if i am not mistaken.

somebody needs to verify that.

this title would have eased the sting of that loss.

this title? Nalby last final came in Auckland in January 2011 (l. to Ferrer)…His last title came in Washington in August 2010 (d. Baghdatis

the trophy that really matters for Rey David is the davis cup!!!
he was in tears last year on day 1 at the semi in france with the anthem,
this year argentina plays at home the semi vs czechia and the final vs spain or usa.
the question is that if nalby can play 5 setters, he was exixsted so soon at RG and pico monaco is not an alternative as we saw in seville last december.

Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble.

that semifinal tie is coming up. hope they can get it done at home against the czechies.

final will be rough if spain brings the clay warrior into play which i think they will.

No hiding for Nalby, he'll have to stand up during the finishing ceremony.
That'll hurt more than anything else.

wow that is CRAZY!!  ive seen plenty of players swat at and kick the side and back panels of the court like that and even break the barrier like nalbandian did but never when a linesman is sitting or standing right there! the blue panneling definetly looks much sturdier and doesnt look like it would break into pieces like it did, but a veteran like nalbandian im sure is well aware of how fragile it is. regardless, to do what he did right next to a linesman was just stupid.

seriously. i just saw the clip and Nalby is stupid. I really don't think it was intentional but dude, there's a guy RIGHT. BEHIND. THE BOARD. I thought he kicked a board and it flew several feet and then hit the judge. Not kicking the board in front of the judge. It was like it was Karate practice and the trainer is holding the board.

Like Avatar said, maybe he thought the board was sturdier and wouldn't break. But, really, he needs to control that temper. And maybe, the players get so involved and used to the judges being part of the court, they forget that the judges are there, in a way. The judges become part of the background. IDK. That was weird.

Scotland Yard must be hard up for work these days huh?  Geesh.  Let the ATP deal with it and tell the ambulance chasers to stay the heck away.

I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

This little nothing cost Rodman $200K to settle in court. No blood, just bad acting by an opportunistic cameraman.

I don't understand. Nalby was still in the match having won the 1st set and Cilic would still have to serve out the 2nd. Why did he lose his temper so badly?

Nalbandian behaved appalingly but sport stars can act like that sometimes because they are under a lot of stress and pressure. I'm sure David did not mean to kick out at the line judge. Not condoning his behaviour, just think it's a bit too far bringing the police into this. It's not like the line judge was hurt that much.
"Sometimes it feels like you're not on a tennis court, the amount of noise you guys produce and for us it's a great feeling. It's a pleasure playing in front of you. It's my great privilege to be standing here in front of one of the greatest players ever, Rod Laver. "
